M & M & Company was founded in 1983 by Mike and Michele Amoroso, but our story begins in the fall of 1968.
Having finished 3 years of service in the United States Army where he was introduced to land surveying,
Mike found work as a surveyor's apprentice at Spindler Engineering.
Work during the days and school at night paid off and Mike moved up in the surveying ranks of the company. One year after hiring Mike, a young woman from Texas named Michele was hired to the company's drafting department. Mike and Michele's friendship turned to romance and they married in December of 1971. Michele left Spindler in 1979. A poor economy in 1980 made Mike a part-time surveyor and lead to a side business as an antiques dealer with Michele. In March of 1983 they set the antiques business aside, converted their garage into an office, and M & M & Company was born. With only 45 projects in the first year, the company's beginnings were simple. In 2009 Michele officially retired. Mike still surveys but has passed on the company's operations to their son Greg, who has been with the company and surveying since 1997. With a staff of 11 people and over 800 projects completed annually, Greg will continue to uphold the standard of service, excellence and integrity that has made M & M & Company one of the premiere land surveying companies in Southern California. |
